There are three Christmas Tree Farms outside of San Antonio, Texas for families to choose from for wintry looking family photos or to pick out their real tree to decorate for the holidays.
This was my second year hosting my Holiday Mini Photo Sessions at the Pipe Creek Tree Farm north west of San Antonio. It's a bit of a drive, but closer to me than the ones in Devine or Seguin. The trees may be smaller than those you would find up north and there may not be snow, but they still smell lovely and create a wintry and holiday look instantly. Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, pine trees as background will make your photos look like they were taking in winter time even when it's 80 degrees here in Texas.
I loved offering these so much the year before, that for 2022 I hosted 2 days of mini sessions. The weather for the first weekend was in the 80s (I wore a tank top). The following weekend we had a cold front and those families enjoyed 50 degree temps. (There may have been some sniffly noses, but that happens at this time of year and I'm used to editing around kids' noses).
If you enjoy a minimalist look for your fall family photos so you can enjoy your photos beyond the Holiday season, my tree farm minis may be for you!
I don't provide props (beyond a blanket) so your photos won't have elements of Christmas in them beyond what you choose to wear or bring (small props are allowed). It also means your outfits won't clash with anything I bring, allowing for a wider range of options for what your family can wear.
I'm looking forward to hosting more Holiday Minis next year at Pipe Creek Tree Farm!
