Family Photos in Old Town Helotes

Updated: Feb 1, 2021

For this couple, Old Town Helotes holds special meaning to them. So when they received the news that they were expecting, they chose this spot to commemorate the moment!

It was one of the last sessions I had before shut downs became the norm as Covid-19 spread across the U.S. They little boy was born in the midst of the pandemic so newborn photos, sadly, weren't going to be an option. But, babies are beautiful at every age and grow so fast that no matter when you decide to have photos taken of your little one, that time is precious and worth capturing.

When it was safe enough for this family to do outdoor photos, their baby boy was 7 months old. And we met up once again in Old Town Helotes.

November is busy season for photography, with the fall colors, cool weather, and desire to send holiday cards. The streets of Helotes was no exception. In between photos, masks went back on as we moved from one spot to another or strolled down the street past others who were out shopping, enjoying the weather, or also taking family photos. (I wear my mask for the entirety of my sessions.)

It was fun to recreate some of our photos from their maternity session. A true "bump to baby" photo session.

Their baby boy is one of the most serious babies I have ever met. He was so cute! His little eyebrows. Always looking unamused.

Do you have a favorite spot where you love having photos done for every milestone or year after year?
