My name is Laura Tannenbaum, the person behind the camera at Oh, Tannenbaum Photography. For those of you who may not know, Tannenbaum is German for Christmas tree. Hence the name for my photography business is "Oh, Tannenbaum" like the classic holiday song.
I live in San Antonio, Texas with my husband and two dogs. Photography has been a passion of mine since college. My main focus was landscapes as I travel a lot. In 2018, I decided to turn my photography passion into a business and start capturing people.
My love of travel and landscape photography plays a big role in my photography style. Before starting my photography business, I created a travel blog, Laura En Route, to showcase not only my photos but to share my experiences to help others plan their trips. If you’re interested, you can visit my blog at www.lauraenroute.com and follow me on instragram @lauraenroute.
Since my background in photography began with landscape photography, the use of natural light plays a major role in my style. This means the outdoors is my studio and the sun is my main source of light. All of my photo sessions take place outdoors, unless you request an in-home family session. San Antonio has a lot of backdrops to offer, from urban to nature, and I want to use them all!
Another passion of mine is supporting non-profit organizations. I'm a member of the Junior League of San Antonio and spent my first two years in the role of volunteer photographer for that organization. If you attend JLSA events, you're likely to see me there with my camera in hand! This love of non-profits also means I provide discounts for my services when working with a non-profit. So if you own one, work for one, or have a friend who does and they need a photographer, have them reach out to me! I'd love to help their business thrive.
